His practice explores the ways shared cultural and philosophical frameworks can foster alternative forms of knowledge and social engagement. He convenes the Nyanza Working Group of ARAC \u2013 Another Roadmap School, which took part in <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">documenta 15<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and currently leads <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Boda Boda Lounge 2022-2024<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a trans-African film and video art festival. Nyampeta\u2019s recent and ongoing projects include contributions to the 14<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Shanghai Biennale (in collaboration with filmmaker Wanuri Kahiu), the 58<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Carnegie International, Manifesta 14 Prishtina, and the 17<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Istanbul Biennial. In 2019, he was awarded the European Union Prize at the 12<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Bamako Encounters \u2013 African Biennial of Photography.
