He is a photographer and designer of Romanian origin. He is the younger brother of surrealist painter Victor Brauner. Shortly after his birth, his Romanian family returned to Romania and settled in the capital Bucharest in 1918. At the age of 13, he founded the magazine FIUNK together with his friends. In 1929, he joined the magazine Alge, where Paul Pa\u00f9n and Gherasim Luca were active.
