In recent years, the artist has focused on series of objects that together compose a nostalgic and, at the same time, ironic \u201cmuseum.\u201d His relationship with collected and recycled objects is visible in his assemblages, which are consistently configured as installation-exhibitions. Together with <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Olimpiu Bandalac<\/span><\/span>, he founded the <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Euroartist Bucure\u0219ti<\/span><\/span> group (active between 1994 and 1996).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"669\" data-end=\"1083\">Teodor Graur exhibits cult objects transformed into mechanical devices. Through their social, industrial, and political meanings, the symbolic dimension of these object-sculptures is reinforced. By recycling objects in order to subvert their spiritual function and articulate an aesthetic position, Graur winks at <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Marcel Duchamp<\/span><\/span>, while at the same time defying the years of dictatorship.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Works across performance, photography, sculpture, painting, and installation.
