{"id":2203,"date":"2025-04-23T10:48:55","date_gmt":"2025-04-23T10:48:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/artencounters.ro\/curator\/ana-janevski\/"},"modified":"2025-05-14T13:14:45","modified_gmt":"2025-05-14T13:14:45","slug":"ana-janevski","status":"publish","type":"curator","link":"https:\/\/artencounters.ro\/en\/curator\/ana-janevski\/","title":{"rendered":"Ana Janevski"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ana Janevski <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">is a curator and writer who is currently curator in the Department of Media and Performance Art at The Museum of Modern Art, New York where she organized \u201cJoan Jonas: Good Night Good Morning\u201d and co-organized \u201cJudson Dance Theater: The Work is Never Done\u201d among many other exhibitions. She organized more than thirty perfomances and has been involved in the shaping of the performance program at MoMA. From 2007 to 2011, Janevski held the position of curator at the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, Poland, where she curated, among many other projects, the large-scale exhibition and accompanying publication \u201cAs Soon As I Open My Eyes I See a Film,\u201d on the topic of Yugoslav experimental film and art from the 1960s and 1970s (2011). She regularly contributes to and coedits publications on performance, the body, and the history of art in Yugoslavia including: <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Art and Theory of Post-1989 Central and Eastern Europe<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (co-edited with Roxana Marcoci and Ksenia Nouril, 2018); <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Boris Charmatz<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, MoMA Modern Dance Series (2017); and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Is the Living Body the Last Thing Left Alive?: The New Performance Turn, Its Histories and Its Institutions<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (co-edited with Cosmin Costinas, 2017).
