Artist walks are already becoming a tradition in the Art Encounters Biennial setting, consistently extending from one edition to the next, energizing the whole experience offered to the public willing to meet a particular version of the exhibition route projected by the curatorial discourse.<\/div>\n

These guided tours are customized on a case-by-case basis through spontaneity, creativity and ingenuity on the part of the artists in relation to the biennial’s visitors.<\/div>\n

The first artist walk in the Garrison Command is guided by artist Ana Adam.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Ana Adam (b. 1964, Ormindea, Hunedoara) lives and works in Timi\u0219oara, Romania. She studied at the Ion Andreescu Art Academy in Cluj-Napoca from 1986 to 1992. Since 1994, she has been a professor at the Visual Art High School in Timi\u0219oara. Recent solo exhibitions include What\u2019s the Forgotten Thread that Connects Me to Myself? RKI, Berlin (2023);, Life Vest Under Your Seat, NMCA, Bucharest (2021); Drawing Is Witchcraft or the Other Way Round, Jecza Gallery, Timi\u0219oara (2020); and Hangs By a Thread, Borderline Art Space, Ia\u0219i (2019). Notable group exhibitions include Courage, the Fulfillment Won\u2019t Break You, Cazarma U, Timi\u0219oara (2023); Expanded Nature, META Space, Timi\u0219oara (2023); Pulse 22, (New Purchases in the Collection of NMCA), NMCA, Bucharest (2023); Chronic Desire, Garrison Command, Timi\u0219oara (2023); On Her Side, Project Center, Timi\u0219oara (2023); and Statements of Pure Consciousness, Serbian Cultural Center, Paris (2022). She also participated in Life \u2013 A User\u2019s Manual at the Art Encounters Biennale in Timi\u0219oara (2017). Her publication, BLOOD STOP SPACE GOLD \u2013 ANA ADAM, was published by Contrasens in 2019.<\/div>\n
