{"id":5963,"date":"2026-10-14T09:03:47","date_gmt":"2026-10-14T09:03:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/artencounters.ro\/?post_type=eveniment&#038;p=5963"},"modified":"2026-10-15T10:22:50","modified_gmt":"2026-10-15T10:22:50","slug":"anca-raluca-memete-my-fair-shadow-%c2%b7-vernisaj-focus-talk","status":"publish","type":"eveniment","link":"https:\/\/artencounters.ro\/en\/eveniment\/anca-raluca-memete-my-fair-shadow-%c2%b7-vernisaj-focus-talk\/","title":{"rendered":"Anca Raluca Memete: My Fair Shadow \u00b7 Vernisaj &#038; Focus Talk"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">We invite you on Saturday, October 17, to the opening of <em>My Fair Shadow<\/em>, followed by a Focus Talk and a DJ set by Ploom.<\/p>\n<p><em>My Fair Shadow<\/em> is the second exhibition in the Focus Art Encounters programme, by artist Anca Raluca Memete and curated by Georgia \u021aidorescu.The exhibition explores how defence mechanisms are passed down from mother to daughter, becoming inherited forms of protection.<\/p>\n<p>Drawing on the visual language of shadow theatre, the exhibition presents a series of animated silhouettes that pass animal masks associated with stereotypes used to ridicule or diminish women.<\/p>\n<p>Through a repetitive ritual of disguise and transformation, the characters reclaim these identities as sources of power.
