(b.1995, Drobeta-Turnu Severin)
Andrei Dinică-Nicolescu (b.1995, Drobeta-Turnu Severin) is an emerging visual artist based in Timișoara. He holds a Master’s degree in Visual Arts, specializing in Painting, from the Faculty of Arts and Design at the West University of Timișoara. Andrei’s artistic practice explores the complex relationship between humanity, nature, and the universe. Working across painting, installation, and sculptural expressions, he emphasizes pure geometric forms, reflective surfaces, and dark backgrounds that capture and emit light, evoking the origins of the cosmos and the mystery of existence. His work reveals a deep interest in discoveries that propose a symbiosis between technology and nature, addressing themes such as space, light, and hidden matter. In a world dominated by the digital and technological, he approaches painting as a space for researching the material and immaterial, positioning the artist as a receiver of cosmic energies. Through his creations, Andrei Dinică seeks to forge connections between form and idea, light and darkness, the individual and the cosmos, contributing to a reconnection with nature and a form of cultural resistance against contemporary entropy.
