Was co-editor of the magazine VERSION and has been part of the editorial collective of the magazine IDEA art + society in Cluj-Napoca since 2005. His multifaceted artistic practice (including drawing, painting, graphics, photo-video, sculpture, installations) is based on the recontextualization, deconstruction and visual recomposition of cultural references, of immediate reality and of realities distorted or induced by the media, political, social and economic constraints.
communism never happened
The strange negation announced by the title of this work takes on a particular resonance in the Niemeyer Space. The piece opens a space for anachronism, for miscommunications between the ways in which the communist regime was perceived in different geo-political contexts, but also on the personal scale of those who lived with the consequences and separations.

The End of the Five-Year Plan (2004) is a reinterpretation of Maurizio Cattelan’s La Nona Ora (1999), in which Pope John Paul II is struck by a meteorite. Ciprian Mureșan replaces the Pope with the Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church.
