He is a Romanian painter who lives and works in Timișoara. He is the co-founder of the Prolog group (1985, alongside Paul Gherasim, Horia Bernea, Ion Grigorescu, Matei Lăzărescu, Christian Paraschiv, Horea Paștina, and Mihai Sârbulescu). He was a high school teacher at the High School of Fine Arts in Timișoara (1962-1991) and played an important role in modernizing art education at the high school.
