He graduated from the Institute of Plastic Arts in Bucharest in 1973. He has lived and worked in Fontainebleau, France, since 1991. The artist approaches various media such as photography, installation, performance and video art, focusing on the conceptual aspect. In 1974, he coordinated the exhibition “Situation and Concept” (Orizont Galleries in Bucharest) and initiated in collaboration with Nadina Scriba the video project House pARTy, editions I-II, in the years 1987-1988, also in Bucharest. The gesture of wrapping/unwrapping generates a social discourse directly linked to self-control as well as to the effects of political domination on the individual and his desire to escape it.
