Gabriela Vanga
(b. 1977)
Studied in Cluj-Napoca (University of Art and Design), Nantes (école des Beaux-arts) and Paris (Le Pavillon / Palais de Tokyo, creative laboratory). Using techniques adapted to specific thematic constraints (photography, video, painting, performance, installation), her works reveal the complexity and subjectivity of the viewer’s perception.
Pavel, named after her son, reproduces a baby bottle, an object of intimacy, of early childhood, of the bond between a parent and their child. Made of glass, this baby bottle evokes great fragility, having become an hourglass, the baby bottle continues to evoke the passing of time.
