Gherasim Luca

(1913-1994)

He was a theorist of surrealism and a Romanian-French poet, of Jewish origin, who lived and worked in Romania and France, frequently cited in the works of Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari. He wrote mainly in French. In his native country, Luca joined the avant-garde movement at a very young age, being a prominent member of the Alge group (1930, 1933).
