Vlad Nancă

(b. 1979)

Studied photography at the National University of Arts in Bucharest and has become interested in recent years in modernist architecture and living spaces shaped by the aesthetic discourse of contemporary design. In 2002, he opened “2020 Home Gallery,” transforming his own apartment into an art gallery in response to the lack of exhibition spaces dedicated to young artists. Through photography, installation, and interventions in public space, the artist recovers and reinterprets reminiscences of communism, socio-cultural references, and urban customs.
