Sam Steverlynck
Sam Steverlynck is an art critic and curator based in Brussels. He has written for various Belgian and international publications, including Der Standaard, Art Review, and artpress. From 2018 to 2021, he was editor-in-chief of HART magazine. In 2021, he was curator of the HISK postgraduate course. In 2022, he curated Zijn naam was Austerlitz/ Austerlitz was his name in Rotterdam, with works from the Tlön collection; L’Oeuvre et son Double at Art Brussels, with a selection of artists whose works have been exhibited at the 2022 Venice Biennale; as well as Dani Ghercă’s solo exhibition, The Constant Flow, for the National Museum of Contemporary Art in Bucharest (MNAC). He currently works in the collections and research department of S.M.A.K. in Gent, where he co-curated, together with Philippe Van Cauteren, the exhibition Pieter Engels: Fabulous Oldest Hits.
