Art Encounters Foundation invites you on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 17:00, to an open dialogue between artists and curators, organized in the context of two parallel solo exhibitions: Afterlife – Still life by Nona Inescu and The Broken Corner of the Cube by Oláh Gyárfás.
The event brings together four important voices from the contemporary art scene. Nona Inescu is a visual artist whose interdisciplinary practice includes photography, installation, video, and sound, exploring the relationship between the human body and the environment from a posthumanist perspective. Oláh Gyárfás is an artist and designer known for his practice that combines art, fashion, and ecotechnology, investigating materiality and its relationship with nature.
The exhibitions are curated by Diana Marincu, a curator and art critic actively involved in the development of the contemporary art scene in Romania, and Ami Barak, an international curator with extensive experience in contemporary art projects across Europe.
The discussion will be moderated by Dana Diminescu, who will guide the dialogue between artists and curators, offering the audience a broader context for understanding.
Starting from shared themes such as time, nature, and the relationship between body, matter, and environment, this artist & curator talk proposes an in-depth exploration of the concepts behind the two exhibitions and the dialogue between them.
The exhibitions can be visited at ISHO Office 1 between April 17 and June 6, 2026, from Thursday to Saturday, between 12:00 and 18:00.
