About the workshop:
Picasso and Open Forms is a workshop designed by Mihai Toth for children aged 8 to 15, taking place as part of the Picasso en visite exhibition at Art Encounters. Starting from the works on display, participants will discover how Picasso transformed faces, bodies and objects through simplification, fragmentation and recomposition. Through drawing, children will create forms that can be continued, modified and interpreted in different ways, exploring how drawing can become an extension of the body. The workshop encourages experimentation, imagination, and an understanding of the artwork as an open-ended process, where every choice can lead to a new discovery.
