About the workshop:
Picasso and Open Forms is a workshop designed by Mihai Toth for children aged 8–15, held as part of the Picasso en visite exhibition at Art Encounters.
Drawing inspiration from the exhibited works, participants will discover how Picasso transformed faces, bodies and objects through simplification, fragmentation and reassembly.
Through drawing, children will create forms that can be continued, modified and interpreted in different ways, exploring how drawing can become an extension of the body.
The workshop encourages experimentation, imagination and an understanding of the artwork as an open-ended process, in which every choice can lead to a new discovery.
