About the workshop:
Beyond the indirect connection between Antibes, a creative space favoured by Picasso for a period after the Second World War, and Cannes, the city par excellence of cinema, 1946 was a decisive year both for the museum dedicated to the artist — through the donation of all the works he created there at the time — and for world cinema, with the first edition of the International Film Festival.
The workshop takes as its starting point the definitions of cinema proposed by film critics André Bazin and David Bordwell, exploring the intersection of two artistic media — cinema and visual arts — with the aim of opening up new perspectives for teenagers and young audiences and encouraging creativity. Following the exhibition visit, participants will create video works inspired by Picasso’s works.
The workshop is designed for participants aged 13–20 and is led by Delia Marincu.
