Dan Cebotari

(b. 2000)

Dan Cebotari is a visual artist and a current doctoral candidate at the Doctoral School of Visual Arts, UNAGE Iași.
His artistic interests focus on analyzing the relationship between public space and memory, particularly questioning the logic behind monuments. His experimental practice is based on installation sculpture and the use of unconventional materials within these works.

Often, with a touch of irony, he seeks to convey a personal, critical perspective on the issues created by the challenges of consumerism, forced technological advancement, and the socio-political reality.

Dan’s sculptural works have been featured in group exhibition projects across the country, including: The Newcomers / Graduate Curated, MARe/Museum of Recent Art, Bucharest,
Graduation Highlights, Borderline Art Space, Iași, CTRL+ P, Aparte UNAGE Gallery, Young Blood 5.0. Hello, Math! ArtSafari, Bucharest, Salon 10.0, Borderline Art Space, Iași. Finalist in the “New Wave ART PRIZE” exhibition-competition, Catinca Tăbăcaru Gallery, Bucharest.
