Having graduated from the Graphic Art Department of the Cluj-Napoca University of Art and Design, Alexandra Mereuți & Sebastian Danciu laid the basis for a collaborative practice during an Erasmus+ study mobility programme at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Lyon (France). The research they started in Villeurbanne, which is part of the Lyon metropolitan area, is based on the tension between cultural and historical identity, on the one hand, and post-industrial urban development, on the other. In 2019 they were co-curators of the group show New wave #1: When the center does not hold at the Paintbrush Factory (Cluj-Napoca, Romania), and in 2021 they co-curated the exhibition Proiecții în Istoria Viitoare: Recurențe într-un spațiu antifonic at B5Studio (Târgu Mureș, Romania).
