Andrei Arion (b. 1996) lives and works in Cluj-Napoca. He graduated from the Faculty of Arts and Design at the West University of Timișoara, with a BA in Photo-Video, after which he approached painting and, subsequently, he resorted to sculpture and installation. In 2020 he participated in the exhibition Post-Nothing / kinema ikon: In Good Company. In 2021 he exhibited works at Jecza Gallery in a summer show titled Light clarity avocado salad in the morning.
“I am interested in the connections between certain events and memories from my own past and the absurd perspective of an alter ego that is still living in childhood. I use elements from video games, architecture, tools, sports etc., and I give them meaning in a way that is more or less illogical.”
