Exhibitions

The Permanent Exhibition Program started by Art Encounters Foundation in 2018 coincided with a new artistic direction of the foundation and with the establishment of Casa ISHO as the permanent space for exhibitions and for running the overall activity. Thus, this program carries on the mission of the Art Encounters Foundation, keeping a steady pace, punctuated by projects centered both on artists active on the Romanian art scene and international artists. The exhibition program aims to support the artists in the creation of new works and their linkage to other artistic contexts; to the setting of institutional collaborations able to foster the production and the exchange of ideas at a local, as well as at an international level; to the exploration of the possible connections with the entire cultural scene in Timișoara, joining efforts with active actors from various fields, like architecture, theater, and literature. The exhibition models put forward are always complemented by an accompanying program of cultural mediation and promotion, as our goal is to build an open, dynamic, and socially and artistically relevant platform.
